Kim shared his PETS Experience, focusing on several issues, unveiling the 2002-2003 Rotary International Theme – “Sow the Seeds of Love” – created by President-elect Bhichai Rattakul from Thailand. He explains: “The best Rotary fellowship comes from the heart. We do not question the time or money we commit. It’s not how much we give, but how much we put into giving (Mother Theresa).” Kim added his twist by saying we must have “love and respect for one another. Let’s all plan to get to know better at least four of our members this year.” Dale Hemphill added that the BBRC is already sensitive to its membership: “The Club is there when you need it.”

The whole gang

Kim continued, “We are community and we’re IN the community – we’re a complete club, both in hands-on projects and fundraising efforts. We’re in the world – GSE team visits, Rotary volunteers, Ambassadorial Scholarships, PolioPlus, and our own BBRC Mission Team. We emphasize the workplace with our vocational focus.” Kim showed the members the inverted triangle depicting power coming from the grassroots — “Individuals are most important.”
