Foundation’s Big Day

Paul Harris Fellows
Paul Harris Gang (L to R): Jim Young, Ted Ederer, Chuck Barnes, Molly Powell & Peter Powell

Three BBRC Rotarians crossed a major threshold in contributions to Rotary Foundation and were recognized for their continued support of this worldwide project to promote understanding, world peace, and goodwill.

Chuck Barnes, RI Foundation Chairperson, singled out Jim Young, Ted Ederer, and Peter Powell. Each has contributed $3,000 or more to the Rotary Foundation. Reaching the $3,000 level means they have earned two sapphires to wear with their pin. Barnes reported there are now 66 Paul Harris Fellows who are currently active in the Club. Chuck again stressed that “we should all be proud of our membership in this special organization, so wear your pin!”

In addition to the milestone, a new Paul Harris Fellow was invited into the fellowship:  Molly Powell, wife of Peter, received the beautiful framed certificate and Paul Harris pin. She was really surprised! Congratulations to  these Rotarians and spouse for being beacons of support for the Rotary Foundation.
