The Big Retreat at Port Ludlow
Goals, Leadership & Committees for 2002-2003

Goals
As for the Retreat, Kim asked each participant to think about Club goals: Where do we want to be in June, 2003? “We want to continue to have fun … this is a fabulous Rotary Club. We want to keep our enthusiasm.” Kim’s membership goal is a net gain of give new members in the next year. His member’s annual giving goal to the Rotary Foundation for the coming year is $150 per member and another one-time gift of at least $150 to fund PolioPlus.

“We must continue to implement successful projects in the community and other countries. We must stay ‘hands-on.’ Rourke O’Brien added that the “Club should emphasize projects that kids and family members can be a part of, such as First Harvest, Preserve Planet Earth planting parties, Community Service painting parties, etc.”

Leadership
Kim zeroed in on Club Leadership and urged all members to consider attendance at District 5030 seminars and conferences. He asked his new board to stand and be recognized: Brian Evison, President-Elect; Steve Goldfarb, Immediate Past President; Robin Callan, Secretary; Margie Burnett, Treasurer; John Martinka, Sergeant at Arms; Steve Lingenbrink, Club Service I Director; Jenny Andrews, Club Service II Director; Bob Holert, Vocational Service Director; Tim Moriarty, Community Service Director; Steve Roberts, Foundation Director; Mike Hyodo, International Director.
