ADMIN CORNER

• We’re moving quickly toward the final month of the Rotary Year. The Treasurer would appreciate it if you’d square accounts and make your dues payments. She has a year-end report to turn out and would like everyone to start 2005-2006 with a clean slate.

• Members are doing a great job in filling out their new directory forms. For those who haven’t visited the “New Directory” in Member’s Only, do so this week and spruce up your new listing.

• Any correspondence (fan letters, complaints or checks) can be mailed to the BBRC mailbox: P.O. Box 3003, Bellevue WA 98009-3003.

Board of Directors Minutes

At the last board meeting on May 10, the BBRC board acted on several motions regarding membership. Letters of resignation were received from:

  • Tom Purdy, moving at the end of the month of June to Texas;
  • Rob LoBosco, changing residence to Seattle effective April 1;
  • Dan Lewis, transferring membership to the Sammamish Rotary
    Club in his home city;
  • Dick Tschetter, charter BBRC member opting out after nearly
    20 years of service.

Each of these letters were accepted by the board.

Because of attendance issues, three members were notified their memberships have been terminated. Maureen Concannon, Carol Gibson and John Hague were taken off the club roster as of April 1.

President-Elect Steve Lingenbrink has determined the new Board beginning in July will continue its meetings at Glendale on the second Tuesday of each month.

The board noted the passing of Susan DeWater, John’s mother, and instructed Care and Concern to extend sympathies of the membership to the DeWater family.

The annual club report is due on June 7 to District, specifically emphasizing the number of people impacted by BBRC projects. Since taking on the Adopt-a-Highway program on I-405, Chip Erickson has determined that 160,000 cars daily pass through the now-clean area patrolled by the BBRC. That should increase our numbers!
