New Member Application Accepted: Curt Cummings
The BBRC Board of Directors has unanimously approved the application for membership of Curtis Craig Cummings. Curt, as he is known, is employed at Microsoft Corporation as an IT Manager. He is a Group Program Manager in Software Development. His proposed classification is Information Technology-Software Development. Curt is sponsored by Jim Owens, co-sponsored by Dick Clarke. Curt and his wife, Carla, live in Renton with their two children, Connor and Ciara. One of Curts passions is the acquisition and distribution of educational supplies to developing nations and work on water systems in rural Kenya. He has donated $5,000 to his fathers Rotary Club (Newport-Priest River in District 5080). Curtis has arranged for 5,000 copies of Microsoft Office worth $857,000 to be donated to Rotary International for Rotary projects in developing countries. As he said, Ive worked extensively with Rotary, but Ive not been a member. He claims to be a very poor guitar player which makes him very eligible to play with the BBRC Guitar Band. His 12-year-old son is quite the pianist. Curts hobbies include off-road motorcycle racing, 4 X 4 challenges, lots of sports and international charity efforts. Adventure racing and football are two of his favorite sports.
