President Evison opened with the observation that this is a very taxing time of the year! Introduced to do the invocation and lead the pledge to the flag was Carlene Buty. Jim Owens greeted three visiting Rotarians. In the brief minute allowed here, Sergreant At Arms Mary Bell auctioned off four Mariners tickets, plus a parking pass made available by Jeff Cashman. The bid went for $100 to Tom Miller. Thanks, Jeff and Tom! Ed Bronsdon, from the Issaquah Rotary, and Executive Director of SKIFORALL, paid a visit to the BBRC to thank the club for its support. The BBRCs Centennial Project was laid out for the Bellevue Park Board last week. Foundation Chair Phil Salvatori reported to the membership that Norm Johnson, President-Elect and Chair of the Centennial Project, did a magnificent job explaining the BBRCs role in this endeavor to establish a user-friendly park in the Crossroads area. Phil said the five board members were so enthused that they passed the plate a contributed $50 to the effort! |
