New Member Inducted: Sayoko Powell
 In ceremonies Friday, Sayoko Powell became the BBRC’s 117th active member. She is self-employed at her firm, Spindrift, a translating/interpreting service she has operated since 1991. Rourke O’Brien is her sponsor.
Sayoko and her husband of 14 years, Scott, are neighbors of the O’Briens. Sayoko was born in Osaka, Japan, and educated at Boston University, where she met Scott. She loves gardening and, in fact, keeps the whole neighborhood looking beautiful, according to Rourke. Her classification is “Translator/Interpreter.”
President Goldfarb presided over the official ceremony which gave her the badge, her pin and the Rotary library. She was welcomed with the traditional standing ovation, the goat being otherwise disposed.
