 Little Bits Update

Kathy Alm
Kathy Alm, Little Bits Riding Club

The Little Bits Riding Club received attention Friday when its Director attended the meeting to thank the BBRC for a recent donation. Kathy Alm told some stories of success from the therapeutic program of horseback riding for disabled persons. Her stories were about “miracles … some little, some gigantic. Horseback riding is like walking … it promotes muscle action and gives otherwise disabled people the feeling of walking. Little Bits has meant a great deal to many disable people, and as much to those who volunteer to help.”

Kathy said the BBRC funds will go towards helping fund a drainage project which will prevent moisture from pooling in the arena and barn areas. She made a pitch for Volunteers:  “We have 130 riders, some of whom need up to 3 volunteers to help them ride. At present we have 200 volunteers and could use more.” Little Bits is located in Woodinville.
