Hopelink Reports on Grant Funds Lynne Gauthier, Community Service Committee Chairperson, invited Shelley Noble, Family Development Director at Hopelink, to explain the good use that was made of the BBRCs support grant of $2,500. Shelley said the gift had gone for a variety of uses, helping families in need. For instance, funds for car repair so the family could continue to have transportation to work and school; help to purchase a home computer, pay for medication, tires for car, and help with outstanding medical bills. All our families work very hard to be good citizens in our community. Hopelinks assistance not only includes financial help, but recent pre-employment programs to hone a persons interview skills were held with BBRC members participating. We thank the club for its continued support in many ways, including Chuck Barnes in our foodbank twice a week and Jeff Cashman serving on our board. Those involved in the Pre-Employment Mock Interview program included Steve Peters, Norm Johnson, Bob Moloney, Jan Nestler, Bob and Kathy Holert, Jim Zidar and Mary Bell. |
