THIS WEEK

Don’t miss our annual visit from Fusao Kajima, the Musical Director/Conductor of the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra. Fusao will give another of his seminars on “how to lead the band!” Coming off a successful concert at Meydenbauer Center, this will be a special program. Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Bring a potential member. Glendale Country Club in Bellevue!

ADMIN CORNER

Please keep your account current with your favorite Rotary Club. Your doing so prevents sleepless nights for the Treasurer.

Remember to use the directory changes form in the Members Only section of the website. These go directly to the Webgrunt, as well as Webdummy. Sometimes we don’t get it right (McKorkle), but it keeps us all young trying to get things straightened out.

Be sure to keep looking for typos. We enjoy your emails, even if they have no effect on future typos, mistakes, general screw-ups or intentional attention-getters.

Friday Potpourri

GreetersPresident Norm was in a warp and had trouble introducing the Invocation/Greeting duet. He had to start over. That’s okay, Norm. Just like you said, “I’m getting the hang of this. Just 4-1/2 months to go!”

Jim Allen delivered the invocation, followed by the pledge to the flag. Alan Forney greeted two visiting Rotarians: Roger Bouck from Lake Forest Park Rotary, and John Matheson, Bellevue. There were several guests introduced to the audience.

EvisonBrian Evison is working to get BBRC Rotarians to attend the 5030 District Conference, April 29 & 30, at the Vancouver, BC, Fairmont Hotel. Contact Brian for applications.

In his spare time, Bob Moloney dreams up projects that bring a smile to people. Fresh off his Valentine Dinner escapade, he is now proposing a session of “teaching grandchildren how to sail" — in boats, on the water. If you think that’s appealing, check in with Bob at your earliest convenience.

AndrewsSergeant At Arms Jenny Andrews noted in business news that Bellevue’s Boullioun Aviation is “on the market, valued at $200 million.” Brian Evison was asked to drop his last $2 on the table. John Martinka had a “great article in the King County Journal about his forthcoming trip to Slovakia. You mentioned the BBRC in the article and all is well. However, all Rotarians who have not participated on an international service project,” put a dollar on the table.

The scam netted $63 to the SAA Fund.
