Eastside Academy

A special presentation was made to a student at Eastside Academy by BBRC Director Bob Holert. Greg Stone, Executive Director of the Academy, accompanied by other members of his staff, praised the work of Greg Rake, a successful graduate of the Academy and now a student at Highline Community College. The BBRC is supporting Greg’s first two quarters at Highline. Greg Stone showed a fine video explaining the work of the Academy and its goal of “Giving Hope, Building Futures.”

Eastside Academy is a Christian alternative high school that provides a quality education (grades 9-12) to young people who have consistently failed in the traditional school setting. In most cases, the Academy is a last chance effort by the individual to succeed in an environment that he/she has come to view as hopeless.

Eastside Academy has been successful in providing at-risk youth an opportunity to turn their lives around and earn a state-approved diploma. Greg Stone was thanked the community and Rotary for its support and especially thanked Bellevue First Presbyterian Church for housing its program.
