Vandal Tickets Attract Huge Bidding War
Don Deasy had four tickets to this weekend’s Husky-Vandal clash in Seattle burning a hole in his jacket. He called forth the token Vandals, with the idea that they’d pool their resources and take the tickets off his hands. Little did he realize that the four representatives come from frugal Idaho roots, and they just stood there looking silly. Taking the abuse for the 0-3 Vandals were John Mix, Bob Vallat, Tom Helbling and Idaho Mom Jane Kuechle. Steve Goldfarb twitched an eyebrow and bought the four tickets for $100. We guess the money went to the Sergeant at Arms, although the Mix Memorial Retirement Fund is lacking.
