Tom Miller, a native of Minnesota and graduate of St. Olaf College and the University of St. Thomas, became the newest BBRC member.
Tom spent a hitch in the Peace Corps, serving in Africa; worked several years for 3M; and moved to Seattle in 2000. He works for the State of Washington as Chief Information Officer for the Office of Personnel Management in Olympia. Tom lives in Redmond and commutes daily to his Olympia job. Tom’s classification is “Information Technology-State Government.”
With an introduction by his sponsor, Bob Holert, Tom was given the full induction treatment by President Evison, who gave a fine synopsis of what induction into Rotary means and explained the obligations expected of a new member. “Give Rotary some of your time and talents. Expand your circle of friends by 1.2 million,” said Brian.
After receiving his pin and Red Badge, Tom was saluted with a standing ovation from the assembled. Welcome, Tom Miller!
