To Tell the Truth A family affair

BellSergeant At Arms Mary Bell will stop at nothing to raise money for the SAA Fund. Once again, Mary involved members of her family in “To Tell the Truth”— a sure-fire fund raiser. A couple of months ago, Mary introduced her mother and dad by having them pose facts about themselves. That raised a few bucks.

Friday, it was Mary’s own little family, daughter Molly, and one of her twin boys, Scott , who came To Tell the Truth.

The name of the game is to pose four statements about themselves, one of which is false. Here we go:

  • My daughter Molly was born in the same hospital as I was.
  • Molly reached the summit of Mount Rainier for the Climb for Clean Air event.
  • Scott’s birthday is today (May 21), and so is his brother’s! (15 years old)
  • Each of the boys averaged 6 pounds at birth.

Now, the task of the 13 tables was to figure out which statement was false. After a brief period of deliberation, around the room we went for answers. Unfortunately for club members, not one table guessed that Molly had never climbed Mt. Rainier, so nearly $80 was added to the SAA kitty!
