Sammamish River Gets Spruced Up

For the umpteenth time, the BBRC invaded Marymoor Park and the banks of the Sammamish River to do some important maintenance to shrubs and trees planted in 2002-2003. Vicky Hunsicker Sanko chaired the event and sent out this message to all participants:

Thanks for a great event Saturday. Your support was overwhelming. We had a total of 35 BBRCers, family members and friends join us on a beautifully sunny day. A great turnout AND we had a great time working side by side to nurture some of the trees you and others had planted in 2002-2003.

I'd like to give a special thanks to several people who made planning and running this event a breeze: Larry Gill, who prepared the sign-up sheets and took signatures each week; Ron Healey, whose golden voice announced our event; Jim Young, who picked up and set up all the great warm beverages and water; and Chip Erickson, who picked up and set up those yummy bagels. You are a great team! THANK YOU!
