BBRC Retreat
 Peter Powell pitches the Retreat.

“If it isn’t planned, it won’t come off,” said the executive in charge of productivity. That pretty well says what the BBRC has been doing since 1988, when the first planning retreat was held. By scheduling a session in a place other than our own backyard, members who attend concentrate on the issues put before the organization and work to craft a blueprint for the coming Rotary year. With Peter Powell in charge and President–Elect Brian Evison handling the brainstorming schedule, the 2003 version of the BBRC Planning Retreat will enjoy a new venue at Resort Semi-ah-moo, near Blaine, Washington.
Participants will either shop in LaConner as they travel north or head for the Loomis Trail Golf Course for an afternoon of par on Friday, April 5. That evening, fellowship around a hearty dinner and program will precede the annual fun and games. Early to rise the next morning, Saturday, April 6, will dawn with a delicious breakfast, followed by the discussion of what programs the Club will tackle in the year to come. The event closes at noon with a box lunch for the return to members’ homes.
The strength of the BBRC Planning Retreat feeds off the tremendous participation by the membership. Without exception, more than 50% of the members have attended past retreats. It’s the perfect place for new members to soak up fellowship, but, more importantly, ro see how the Club functions and join in the discussions of how to make things better. Make plans today to attend the 16th annual BBRC Planning Retreat. Email Peter Powell. It’s a great break from the grind, and it puts the Club a leg up on another successful year!
