Seattle and a candidate for Attorney General, he captured a spot on the State’s highest court four years ago and has elected to withdraw when his terms ends, returning to private law practice. More
Raffle Wind-Up The three presidential candidates made their final appearances before the electorate Friday, as final voting was conducted. Raffle chairman Steve Lingenbrink
said, “Absentee votes would be counted through Monday.” Friday’s last-minute rush to the polling place netted at least $34,000, to bring the raffle take to near $100,000. More

Rotary Minute President Kopczynski revealed the mystery behind how Rotary got its name. “In 1905, the founding members met in each other’s offices,
following Paul Harris’s emphasis on fellowship and occupations. This meant the group ‘rotated’ their meetings. Hence the name of Rotary was applied and was adopted.” Cary, in the spirit of
Rotating, asked that this Friday’s meeting see a massive shift in the membership seating arrangement. “Let’s move from our present tables to another spot and have breakfast with
another group of Rotarians. Keep the Rotary spirit alive!”
