 Bicycles For Mexico

Saturday, November 4, the intrepid BBRC Bicycles for Kids project will once again rise up, with members preparing bikes for a trip south to Mexico.

Project Chairperson Brian Heimbigner asks that members meet at Eastside Recovery Center, 1412 140th Place N.E., at 9:00 a.m., to prepare 80 bicycles for transport to Mexico City. These bikes have already been repaired; they just need a thorough cleaning in preparation for their trip. All of the cleaning tools will be available. If you have an air compressor, please contact Jeff Cashman or Brian Heimbigner. After the bikes are made ready, they will be transported to Sea-Tac for loading aboard a plane to Mexico.

Brian Evison has arranged with Mexicana Airlines to fly the bikes for free to Mexico City, where a Rotary Club in that city will receive the bikes and deliver them to two orphanages.
