Andrew Face, looking to acquire a new Blue badge, gave his reclassification talk, explaining that one day last year, he made an appointment to see the president of Bear Creek Venture Partners, went in for advice and walked out with a job. Jay Powers shared with me some of the opportunities and needs of his business and before our appointment was over, I was excited to learn that I would be handling the Merchant Banking services at Bear Creek. The company, how housed in Seattle is primarily interested in northwest technology seed financing. Many of the project come through the Federal governments SBIC. Andrew works the merchant banking services, which includes world banking service, and connections to real estate, arbitrage, short-term lending, leveraged buy-outs, mergers and acquisitions. Were also involved in some low-income housing projects. Andrew and Jay used a big white board to explain how Bear Creek Venture partners works and got their point across. For this, Andrew got his new badge. |
