Student Of The Month : Oriana Kness
Oriana Kness, a senior at Eastside Catholic High School, was introduced as the April Student of the Month. Accompanying Oriana was her father Paul, as well as Greg Marsh, Principal of ECHS. M.J. Hillstrom, Eastside Catholic counselor, took the microphone to say, I marvel at the kids I get to work with today. These kids are true role models, reflecting their well-rounded upbringing. Oriana is a joy to work with. She has taken 13 accelerated courses, with an accumulative 3.74 GPA. She is a top Lincoln-Douglass debater, a Forensic Team leader, ASB Secretary, a National Honor Society member, she excels in French, plays volleyball and tennis, and is a strong, quiet leader. Incredible things happen with Oriana Kness taking a leadership role. Oriana told her audience she has enjoyed several summers attending the Washington State Leadership Camp, and she is now a camp counselor. I really enjoy helping kids. Im proud to teach first grade religious education in my parish each week. As far as her college plans are concerned, Oriana modestly says shes been accepted at several universities, but she hasnt made up her mind exactly what her major might be ... possibly law. Thanks to Larry May for his orchestration of this presentation to another worthy Student of the Month. |
