Rotary Foundation Awards Members
Chuck Barnes, Chair of the clubs Rotary Foundation Committee, has a tough job extracting donations from members. But his reward is in the Awards recognition of efforts of many members who generously support the worlds finest foundation. Steve Roberts introduced his wife Charlotte, who was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow as a gift of her husband. Rick McManus reached the $2,000 level of RF contributions and earned his pin with a first sapphire. Brian Evison received his second sapphire, noting his contributions of $3,000 to the Rotary Foundation. Chuck also recognized members who have joined the Paul Harris Society, Rotarians who contribute at least $1,000 annually to the Annual Fund. Jim Owens is the first BBRC club member to join this Society. He was joined by visiting Rotarian Frank Young from the Bellevue Club also a PHS member to recognize four other BBRC members: Cary Kopczynski, Peter Powell, Brian Evison, and Colin Radford as newcomers to the Paul Harris Society. |
