Foundation Committee Performs Valuable Service

Phil Salvatori, Foundation Committee Chairperson, which administers the BBRC’s Major Gifts Program, gave a mini club assembly report on the committee’s accomplishments this year.

“I salute the members of our committee for their commitment to award the dollars at our disposal to the most worthy agencies requesting funds. We sent our 59 Request for Proposal applications in August and received 27 responses. Several teams of three members each reviewed the proposals. A point value was then applied to their review, which pared down the original 27 requests to the final seven or eight organizations. Then, three different committee members did on-site surveys of the finalists. Based on our evaluations, the two top programs we’re supporting this year are SKIFORALL ($17,000 gift) and Residence East ($11,000 gift). Another $10,000 will go to our Centennial project.”

Great news! The Bellevue based "It's Your City" program recently spent some time filming participants and volunteers from the SKIFORALL Adaptive Snow Sports Program at Crystal Mountain. The story will air this month, with the first program on Wednesday, April 7th, 7:30 PM.

Then, Wednesdays at 7:30 pm and Fridays at 11:30 am, on channel 21, BTV, for the entire month of April.
