Mahoney Recuperates; Email Only Weapon

Wally Mahoney
Wally Mahoney, temporarily disabled.

It’s hard to believe that anything would disable our whirling dervish, Wally Mahoney. As he reports:

I had my foot surgery yesterday (Thursday, October 18) to realign some bones and put in a couple of screws –  to get rid of a painful bunion – and it's going well so far.

To his fellow members, Wally writes:

I'd welcome your suggestions for good, trashy reading. "Black Hawk Down," by Mark Bowden, is excellent, but a little too serious. It’s the chronicle of our misadventures in Mogadishu in October 1994, and the lessons for our involvement in Afghanistan are very clear.

Hope you're all rooting for the Mariners … and that you and your families have a very happy Halloween!!
