President Goldfarb rang the bell and welcomed everyone to another fun-filled Friday. Robin Anderson delivered the invocation from a poem she’d composed. After the pledge to the flag, Bill Schultheis greeted five visiting Rotarians, including District Governor Elect Rosemary Aragon. During the introductions, Steve Lingenbrink represented six of the members, all sporting black leather jackets. This was for the visit of Honorary Rotarian Kemper Freeman (Inside Joke).

Kelly Dykstra, completing the requirements for obtaining her Blue Badge, did exactly that, earning a round of applause and getting rid of the Red Badge.

Dick Brown reported that former member Jack DeMuth has suffered a stroke and is hospitalized at the Group Health Rehab on Richards Road. Letters and notes of encouragement are welcomed.

John Martinka announced that October 30, from 8:50 a.m. to 10:40 a.m., is Career Day at Sammamish High. A list will be circulated to recruit BBRC members to participate.

Nancy Isely-Fletcher announced that Preserve Planet Earth will again attack the banks of the Sammamish River for a tree and shrub planting exercise on Saturday, November 10. More details will follow.

Kathy Johnson, Assistant District Governor, and a member of Issaquah Rotary paid an official visit to the BBRC Friday.
