International Service Projects

We empower international communities through sustainable action. Our members provide essential school technology in Antigua, fund clean water and sanitation in South America, and partner with Malaria Partners International to eradicate disease and save lives.

Two Decades of Transformation: Improving Education Through Technology

Since 2007, this signature international project has bridged the digital divide in Antigua and Barbuda through a partnership with the Antigua Ministry of Education and Newport High School’s Cisco Networking Academy. For nearly 20 years, the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club has transformed the educational landscape by delivering over 12,500 computers and installing Wi-Fi in 60+ schools. This sustained investment has yielded clear results, with rising engagement and test scores signaling a brighter, more connected future for an entire generation.

Clean Water for Niña Maria: A Rotary Global Initiative

Through an international Rotary partnership, this initiative provides life-saving infrastructure to the Niña Maria Foundation in Colombia, home to 300 individuals with special needs. The project’s first phase, completed in February 2026, installed a wastewater plant that prevented the facility’s closure and halted local environmental contamination. By late 2026, a new potable water plant will eradicate waterborne diseases, ensuring clean water access and long-term dignity for over 1,000 residents and neighbors.

Stitching a Brighter Future: The Antigua Sewing Center Initiative

Partnering with the Kirkland Rotary Club, this initiative establishes sustainable sewing centers to empower residents in Antigua. By providing high-quality machines and vocational training, the project equips participants with a life-changing trade that fosters long-term self-sufficiency. The program enables local women to launch micro-businesses and produce their own apparel, bypassing expensive imports. By leveraging the combined resources of multiple Rotary clubs, this initiative transforms lives through economic empowerment and the creation of skilled artisans.

Our actions reflect this commitment to equity and diversity. From All in for Autism, which supports Puget Sound families on the Autistic spectrum, college scholarship grants to deserving local high school students, computers for schools in Antigua, water projects in Colombia and malaria eradication efforts in Sub-Saharan Africa, we are guided and inspired by the diversity of the communities we serve.
