Foundation Minute

x0815ChandlerIn his Foundation Minute, Don Chandler explained that we have two foundations, a local BBRC Foundation and the Rotary International Foundation. Friday, Don talkedf about the Rotary International Foundation. Here are some BBRC statistics:

• $366,788 dollars for all time giving

• 172 Paul Harris fellows

• 15 benefactors

• 8 Paul Harris Sustaining Fellows

Your first $1000 dollars earns you a Paul Harris Fellow. For an additional $1000 you receive a sapphire. At $7000, you receive a ruby, and after $10,000 you become a major donor and receive a diamond pin and crystal plaque. Wear your pin proudly, you deserve the recognition.

After your initial $1000 and Paul Harris Fellow, you accumulate recognition points for every dollar donated. When you reach your second $1000, you can use these points to recognize family members, or to recognize a person in the community who is deserving. Company-matched donations or other matching funds do not count for recognition points. These funds do count toward your additional sapphires and rubies. You do need to fill out a form for matching funds. Please contact Don Chandler for this form.

The Bequest Society Member is for people who have included the Rotary Foundation in their will with a gift of $10,000 or more. A Benefactor is a person who informs the Foundation in writing that they have made a provision in their will naming the Foundations permanent fund as a beneficiary; or anyone who makes a gift of $1000 to the permanent fund.

There is no better way to make your dollars work around the world.
