Students of the Month: The Sammamish High Student of the Month was introduced by Nick Paget. Michelle Magnotti currently serves as Senior Class President and as a leader in the schools cheer squad and gymnastics, while earning a 4.0 GPA. We just finished our 2004 Homecoming, which was a project of the Senior Class. It was a great success. Michelle enjoys her community service with PAWS, helping abandoned pets. Shes also been a driver in the school project that gives orientation to incoming freshmen. Michelle is applying at Pepperdine and Stanford. I like both schools and hope Ill be accepted at either ... or both! Larry May introduced the Eastside Catholic Student of the Month, Jonathan Wilson. Witnessing the ceremony was EC principal Greg Marsh. Jonathan was described as a student with great academic achievements, active in competitive sports and a giver of community service. Jonathan gushed over his participation in Special Olympics. Ive tallied over 150 hours of work in community service, primarily with Special Olympics in their bowling, soccer and basketball programs. Sports are a big part of my life and I enjoy sharing this with others. Jonathan has also served as a Retreat Leader at Eastside Catholic. He will either enroll at Whitworth or Whitman next fall, where he plans a major focus in political science with a minor in psychology. Kudos to our Student-of-the-Month Award staff for their excellent presentations. |
