Student of the Month: Winston Lofton
Bob Holert, back for another season of introducing SOTM, observed that the season has changed and its time to honor our first Student of the Month for this new year. Sammamish High senior Winston Lofton was introduced. Winston has accumulated a 3.88 GPA while serving as Student Body President. Winston told the club that hed lived in Bellevue all of his 17 years and, I have a lot of hair! Winston has been recognized by the National Achievement Scholarship program; he has helped build and renovate houses in Yakima for low-income families in projects through his church; and he has tutored students at an elementary school. Winston said he has no firm plans for his major course of study, nor any idea as to what school he might attend. Those decisions are forthcoming. |
