Friday Potpourri
President Norm noted the dark and wet morning, but showing the weather has no effect on buoyancy of the BBRC on dark October days. Norm introduced Bob McNulty, who took from his billfold an impressive invocation from the writings of Robert Louis Stevenson. You never know what Rotarians will pull from their wallet! Sayoko Powell greeted Jennifer Pratt, a Rotarian from the Issaquah Club and a friend of Carlos Aragon. Sayoko wanted to know what question Jennifer would have for Ichiro if she could address him: Whats the difference between playing in the U.S. and Japan? Hans Giner was again welcomed as a guest and is being re-instated as a member. Hans returned from a seven-year absence to the Bellevue area. Preserve Planet Earth will hold another fall work party the morning of Saturday, November 6. In cooperation with County and City officials, more work will be done on planting shrubs and trees along the Sammamish River. Plan to bring your family members and neighbors who have an interest in our environment. Raffle Update: Week 10 of 15;$67,903 captured. Spielfarbs group leads 40 to 27. Mary Bell/Colin Radford have accounted for $11,000. A wild Hollywood finish is predicted! * * *
