Fellow Rotarians,

When Rotary International President Glenn Estess announced his Presidential theme Celebrate Rotary, he said the following:

Our first hundred years will stand as an inspiring record of men and women of all races, religions, nationalities and political creeds who have made significant contributions to creating a more peaceful world.

I am writing to you as the Chairman of Rotary Global History Fellowship, which is approved by Rotary International. Our mission is to Celebrate Rotary History. You will find us on the Internet at www.RotaryHistoryFellowship.org. Our website contains more than 2,000 articles about Rotary History and is visited every month by Rotarians from around the world. It is the biggest such project in Rotary with the best information on the Internet about Rotary History.

There are for example many interesting facts about Rotary History at www.rotaryhistoryfellowship.org/history/history/index.htm

Rotary Founder Paul Harris had a very interesting life. You can read about him at http://rotaryhistoryfellowship.org/presidents/1910harris/paulharris.

We just had the 3rd anniversary of the World Trade Center Disaster of September 11, 2001. It is not only a major event in American history, but also a major event in Rotary History. Rotary Clubs are always among the first to help when there is a disaster in their hometown. So was also the case for the Rotary Club of New York. With the help from Rotarians around the world, the Rotary Club of New York raised $1.5 million to help victims from the 9/11 disaster. It was the biggest fund raiser in Rotary History by a Rotary Club. You can read about it at the following links (click on the links):

Many Rotary Clubs around the world read our weekly feature “What Paul Harris Said” to their members at Rotary meetings. You too can sign up to receive “What Paul Harris Said” every week by sending your e-mail address to rghf_mail-request@rotaryhistoryfellowship.org (click on the link). You can also read previous issues of “What Paul Harris Said” on our website at www.WhatPaulHarrisSaid.org.

Rotary International Past President 2000-2001 Frank J. Devlyn said the following:

Rotary Global History Fellowship is an instrumental tool for those forward-thinking people who wish to learn from our history, in order to guide our future.

Many leading Rotarians around the world are members in Rotary Global History Fellowship. I am inviting you to also become a member of our great Rotary Fellowship. It is easy to sign up, just click on this link www.joinrghf.org.

Let us together -- Celebrate Rotary History!
