Admin Corner
The old Mix Chassis is undergoing some preliminaries to a grand surgery scheduled for Monday, July 11. An arthritic knee got the best of your Club Administrator and will be replaced that day. Just plug and play, right?!
During my rehab, there are several fine Rotarians stepping up to the plate to keep things rolling. Margie Burnett will oversee weekly deposits and Post Office visits. She will send the weekly deposit slips to Club Admin Central in Monroe and Mix will enter the details in the computer each week.
Bob Moloney has consented to be the opening and closing act at Glendale each Friday morning. The badge box and treasurers stuff, Fasting and Scooter badges are all part of his duties.
Jeanne Thorsen assumes her duties as Secretary, overseeing the taking of weekly attendance. The blank forms will be emailed to her each week beginning the week of July 18th. She, also will send the completed forms back to Monroe for inclusion in the attendance statistics.
Mark Hough takes over the weekly gathering, writing and editing of the Reveille. He will lean on several other members during July, August and early September, whose names will become known as they jump into the fray.
Jim Kindsvater will continue to snap his excellent pictures for publication in the Rev. Hell be backed by Ernie Hayden and Larry Gill and anyone else who wants to help in the photo department.
In advance, let me thank all who will take major roles in covering these duties. Ive been talking about succession planning for a couple of years now, but didnt anticipate wed have a chance at a real drill so soon! Please give your full cooperation to these fine Rotarians and feel free to offer your services to provide Service Above Self. After all, it is the summer vacation season, so all of our staff will need a break in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, I will attend the Golf Outing selling my beloved Mulligans that Friday morning prior to reporting into Swedish-Providence early Monday morning, 7/11. Please refrain from spending exorbitant amounts [translation: zip, nada, none, zero] of tightly-controlled funds on flowers or other gifts. Ill be back in Monroe on Bastille Day, July 14, and a nice email from each of you will make the beginnings of a great novel!
Thanks, Team! And now, ever onward, forward and upward!
