Nearly 50% of the membership has entered their new data in the BBRC’s Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Directory. If you haven’t visited the Member’s Only section, do so today, follow the instructions, fill out the form (remember to move around the form by using the “Tab” key) and after completing your work, click on the “Submit” button ONLY ONCE!

The Fourth Quarter (in Rotary terms) is 1/3 done. This is a critical quarter, because it’s signals the final 90 days of the Rotary Year. If you want your Paul Harris contribution to count, you need to have your check to Don Chandler or Don Deasy or Dick Brown no later than May 31. If you’re on the club’s PH Pledge program, be sure to clear your account as soon as possible so your payment will be made to RI. Do this today! And thanks!

Friday Potpourri

x0502FriPot Past President Dick Brown reveled at the chance to run a meeting, replacing President Norm who was away attending the District Conference. Dick introduced new member Rodd Kippen, who delivered the invocation and led the pledge. Jeff Maxwell greeted visiting Rotarians: Shawn Rhode and Frank Young, both of the Bellevue Rotary Club. Lauren Powell was the guest of her father Peter.

Special guest appearances included former member Mike Hyodo. About a year ago, Mike surprised the club with the announcement that he was going into full-time Christian ministry (dentistry on the side) and was moving his family to Arlington-Stanwood. This was his first visit back and it was good to see him.

Past President Kim Shrader returned to the fold right on time, after completing an eight-week recovery from prostate surgery. Kim joins an elite group who (it’s rumored) will be working on a little ditty called “The Catheter Song.” Don’t miss that meeting!
