A Treehouse Mid-Term Report Janice Avery, Executive Director of TreeHouse, was introduced by Lynne Gauthier of the Community Service Committee. A check for $2,500 had earlier been given to TreeHouse, and Janie was present to give a report. Our objective is to give foster kids a childhood and future. Just a thumbnail of where some of the $2,500 went: Karate Lessons, Drug Lessons, a Senior Portrait, a Keyboard and Piano Lessons. Of course, we also collect used luggage, used clothing and cash donations to help us serve these kids. "TreeHouse has produced a calendar full of photographs of the young people we serve. Purchasing a calendar is one way to support us throughout the year, said Janice Members of the BBRC were extended an invitation to a Champions for Kids Fundraising coming soon. Contact Lynne for more details. |
