Sergeant At Arms Fills the Coffers Rourke OBrien was an easy mark for Sergeant At Arms Jenny Andrews at Fridays meeting. Seems that Rourke has been getting lots of publicity for his America Chess Foundation for Kids. Comcast has developed a 5-minute local news slot and Rourke has been on at least 15 times! That cost him $15.00 for that "public service thing." All the Steves were called up front six of them were in attendance. Goldfarb, Lingenbrink, Luplow, Peters, Waltar and White were under scrutiny. Steve Goldfarb was fined for getting a haircut, after hed been offered cash from Frank Young to get it cut. The fine was $20. Steve Luplow was fined for looking so good. And Steve Waltar sent out some promotional stuff in the newspaper which came to several Rotary homes and offices $20. Steve Lingenbrink was fined $30 for sending out Christmas ornaments as a gift to clients and friends. Jenny didnt get one. It had the corporate logo on it. And, the other two Steves, White and Peters, were fined $2.00 each for being Steves. The missing Steve was Steve Roberts. |
