The subject is the USA/China Sports Summit to be staged in Seattle. Bob Walsh is CEO of Pacific Rim Sports Summit and the Seattle Organizing Committee. He’ll discuss the games that are set for Seattle this summer. Buffet breakfast served at 7:00 a.m. Bring a potential new guest to the BBRC meeting at Glendale Country Club.

New Member Inducted: Dan Geare

GeareThe ranks of the BBRC membership swelled by Friday, with the induction of Dr. Daniel Geare, DMD. A native Californian, Dan has been practicing in Bellevue since 1984. His classification is “Dentistry, General” and he is sponsored by Terry Baker. President Norm Johnson conducted the new-member ceremony, explaining to Dan that he now joins “1.2 million other friends in 32,000 clubs, found in 185 countries.”

Dan enjoys hiking, cooking and wine tasting, and he lives in Sammamish with his wife Carla. He has shared his dentistry with the Union Gospel Mission Dental clinic and the Hopelink Mobile Dental clinic. Dan is a member of several professional associations and was previously a member of Toastmasters from 1999-2001.

Dan will find out about Rotary by visiting other clubs, and attending committee meetings, going to District event. He was given a 4-Way test wallet card plus several Pins, including the RI pin and, of course, the red badge. He also got the book “The ABC’s of Rotary" and the stylish BBRC cap. Daniel Geare was then greeted with a standing ovation, as he embarked on his successful journey with the world’s largest and finest service organization.
