Friday Potpourri President Norm opened the meeting with a greeting, introducing Tom Helbling for the invocation and pledge and Michael McIntosh greeting visitors. Stan Foster from Seattle #4 was our only visiting Rotarian. Curtis Cummings has satisfied all of the requirements of the new member Red Badge and received his permanent Blue Badge from President Norm. Scott Sadler, Community Service Director, and Shelley Noble, Family Service Director at Hopelink, gave their annual assessment of the generosity of Rotarians to families over the recent holiday. Phil Salvatoris great effort on the Giving Tree results in gifts for family members which otherwise wouldnt happen, said Scott. He read a letter from a parent about the services at the YMCA and what it means to their family. Shelley mentioned the Thanksgiving Baskets project which each year brings joy to many families in the community. The results of the ornaments turning into gifts from the Giving Tree is magical in the impact it has on the individual recipients. We are grateful for the BBRC participation and generosity.
