The Raffle Wraps Up
Producers Lingenbrink & DeWater
|
Just two more turn-in Fridays and the 2003 Raffle will be history. There’s a lot of work to be done prior to the close of business on Friday, October 31. Raffle Treasurer Kevin Jewell reminds all members that ALL tickets MUST BE accounted for. For those that you’ve sold, turn in a check for the amount AND the ticket stubs. For those that are unsold, turn in all the remaining tickets you have. Every ticket has to be accounted for by the Raffle Committee. The last turn-in day is next Friday, October 31 (Halloween), with the drawing for the winner of the automobile on Thursday, November 6. The winner will be publicly announced at the BBRC Anniversary Dinner on Friday evening, November 14.
Before the Raffle report closed, the two Producers for the Battle of the Bands, John DeWater and Steve Lingenbrink, called all of their Platinum Album winners forward to receive the accolades of the audience. These were the members who’ve sold more than $1,000 worth of raffle tickets, and by the time that crowd went forward, there weren’t many folks left seated!

Leading the pack for high sales honors was Mary Bell, accounting for $6,500 in ticket sales. The others who joined the Platinum sellers were Norm Johnson, Bob McKorkle, Jenny Andrews, Don Deasy, Jim Gordon, Paul Martin, Kim Shrader, Jim Young, Tom Smith, Brian Heimbigner, Ted Ederer, Kevin Jewell, Sharon Edberg, Bill Spencer, Shelley Noble, Dick Clarke, Peter Powell, Chuck Barnes, Rick Klobucher, John Martinka, Jim Zidar, Steve Lingenbrink, Carlene Buty, Rourke O’Brien, Howard Johnson, Dick Tschetter, Tom Purdy, Alex Rule, Colly Radford and Bob Holert.
