Membership Retention Committee Begins Work
Under the able leadership of Steve Luplow, the Membership Retention Committee will be following attendance figures for the balance of the 2003-2004 Rotary year.
Luplow reports that “the goal for our committee is to encourage Rotarians who fall below 60% attendance to raise their attendance above the 60% mark. We also want to recognize those Rotarians who have 100% attendance. It is also very important to watch the attendance patterns of all Rotarians in our club to make sure that if they miss several meetings in a row, we can call or e-mail them to make sure that everything is OK. One of the biggest reasons that a Rotarian quits a club is because they feel that their attendance and involvement is not important.”
The team of Rotarians who have agreed to keep a watch on the membership include:
Terry Baker, Don Chandler, Sharon Edberg, Wendi Fischer, Craig Groshart, Carol Hoeft, Kevin Jewell and Shelley Noble.
Each team member has approximately 14 members to whom they are accountable. If a member has missed more than three consecutive meetings or has attendance falling below 60%, expect a call from the Retention Team.
