Sergeant At Arms Corner: To Tell the Truth
Nick Paget, with Excuse # 76.
Mary Bell (L) & Sayoko Powell
|
To the cheers of the chumps waiting to be fined, Mary Bell took the mike to address Nick Paget: “Tell us what happened to you this morning.” Seems Nick was tabbed to be a greeter Friday morning, but was way late arriving because his fiancé had the keys to his car. “I had to wait 20 minutes before I could travel rapidly to Glendale and fulfill my Rotary obligation!” Too bad, Nick. $1.00.
Now, it was time To Tell the Truth
Sayoko Powell rose to describe four events in her life, one of which was false. By table, members had to determine which didn’t happen.
Sayoko claimed:
1) Was an interpreter for Ichiro when he purchased a home.
2) At age 13, she won a bronze medal in ancient Japanese martial arts competition posing as a boy.
3) She was the navigator on ocean liner
4) She was on-stage performing on national TV at the age of 5.
After much discussion, each table called out their guess. Turns out #1 was incorrect, she didn’t interpret for his house purchase, but DID help interpret while negotiating his baseball contract. Items #2, #3 and #4 were true! Seems time for a martial arts demonstration, while navigating the buffet table, singing the “Good Ship Lollipop”!
