The BBRC’s webmaster — and a lot more — paid the club a visit Friday, with her daughter Dallas in tow. Her family was visiting in the Tacoma area where they previously lived prior to moving to Memphis. Son Harlan and husband Steve provided transportation for Robin and Dallas to Glendale for the meeting. Robin Stark has toiled in the trenches since 1988, doing graphic design and layout for the club’s newsletter, Reveille, since its first issue in February 1989. She has kept pace with changes in technology, keeping the BBRC in the forefront, using the web as a means of intra-club communications. For her efforts, Information Services Chair John Mix awarded Robin a handsome desk clock that “runs on Pacific Time.” It was also inscribed to our “Onery Member,” a typo maybe, but you get the picture. The Starks emplaned back to Memphis on Sunday. Steve is an aeronautical engineer and works for FedEx. When asked whether they used FedEx to fly to the Northwest, Robin exclaimed, “Who would want to, after seeing Castaway!?!” Robin received a warm welcome and best wishes from many in the club who have had the "pleasure" of working with her over the years. Robin, you are always welcome at the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club! |
