Student of the Month:
Allison Norman
Larry May introduced Eastside Catholic senior Allison Norman as a January Student of Month. Allison was accompanied to the meeting by her principal, Greg Marsh, and her parents.
“Allison is an outstanding young woman,” Larry said. “She has a high GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, has excelled in soccer and track, and demonstrated leadership by serving as captain of both teams.” Allison took the mike and said her grandfather would be proud of her, standing before a Rotary Club to receive this award. He is a Rotarian in a club back east and “he always said that some of the best programs at the club were when local high school students were recognized.”
Allison told about an organization called Social Venture Partners in Seattle. “This project helps kids, and I’ve enjoyed my association with them these past several years.” Her intent is to attend college and major in Business Management. She’s awaiting word from several Universities about the site of her future studies.
