Friday Potpourri

Schultheis, Clarke, Anderson
Bill Schultheis (L) and Robin Anderson (R) greet Dick Clarke before Friday’s meeting.

President Goldfarb opened proceedings, introducing Bill Schultheis, who gave the invocation and led the pledge. Robin Anderson greeted four visiting Rotarians, who were asked what one word would describe them. “Passion” was mentioned and, of course, Frank Young, Man of Few Words, picked two words “Community Service” for his descriptor.

At the press table, during a quiet moment in the program, Brian Heimbigner dropped the top off  the coffee pot. It was empty.

I KNOW WHO YOU ARE:
Norm Johnson was appointed Committee Czar a couple of weeks ago by President Goldfarb. Seems club members had escaped making their selections for committee assignments this year. Norm to the rescue! He reported that 26 members had not yet picked a committee. “I know who you are,” and next week will be the final wrap on this project. Norm’s admonition was well-taken as the sign-up table was crowded at meeting’s end.

The next action is for the committees to schedule meetings and for all committee members to attend.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Steve Roberts said the Foundation Committee would meet Thursday at Rick Klobucher’s office in Bellevue.

Phil Salvatori, annual Chairman of the Giving Tree, is in need of a volunteer to assist him in the project. Don’t know if he got his volunteer, but if you don’t volunteer, “Guido”’ will be visiting you soon.

Secretary Terry Peterson announced a BBRC Milestone: 101 members were in attendance for Friday’s meeting. Perhaps we should have ticket turn-ins more often!
