The BBRC’s Norm Johnson parts with a crisp $100; Fremont Rotary Club President Kathleen O’Connor graciously accepts it.

You may recall from last week’s issues of Reveille that 18 members of the BBRC MMC (Mass Make-up Crew) attended a recent late-afternoon beer and pizza meeting of the Fremont Club at Hale’s Brewery. As the boys and girls are wont to do, a little boasting took place, culminating in a $100 wager to see which club could produce the highest percentage of attendees at the other club’s meeting. With the Fremont Club’s total membership of 26, they were only required to have five members show up at a BBRC meeting.
When the Fremont Six showed up on Friday, our own Wally Mahoney and Norm Johnson suffered the indignity and financial loss, ponying up $100 to Fremont Club President Kathleen O’Connor for winning the wager.
Six Members of the Fremont Fun Club [L to R]: Howard Swerland, Ed Hoeschen, Suzie Burke, Rex Erickson, Club President Kathleen O'Connor, and President-Elect Charlie Young.
