 RYLA Conference Coming

It’s hard to believe, but it’s time for the time-honored and successful Rotary Youth Leadership Awards [RYLA] to once again honor young people by enrolling them in the Conference. BBRC RYLA Chairman for the umpteenth year is Alan Bohling, and he’s putting out a call for current members’ kids who are juniors or seniors in high school to attend.

The 2001 RYLA Conference will be held on the campus of Pacific Lutheran University, March 8 through March 11, 2001. Attendance of Rotary members' families who are currently juniors or seniors in high school is preferred. The Rotary Youth Leadership Conference features three days of thought-provoking and exhilarating topics. It includes nationally renowned speakers who emphasize leadership, motivation and communication skills. Some examples of speaker sessions include; "From Stumbling Blocks to Stepping Stones," “Re-Commit, Re-Connect, and Re-Ignite," "The Power of Choice," "Exercise Your Attitude and Heart," "Living, Laughing, and Loving Life." There is time for recreation, socializing, and even a dance. The cost of the event is fully funded by our Rotary Club and the District.

The RYLA Conference is a MUST ATTEND EVENT for our members' families.
