PIZZA & REFRESHMENTS!

It may be too close to call, but the final tally in this year’s record-breaking raffle seems to indicate that the Whig Party, with President-Elect Zidar has edged the Tories’ Dick Brown for the top spot. According to election officials – each secure in the knowledge that they are forthright, honest, and biased – there are only 1,100 votes between parties. The State of Confidence (Tory) has a one-vote edge on the Whigs’ State of Affairs for the greatest votes amassed. The raffle, in all its components (golf outing, corporation sponsorships, and ticket sales) combined for a record $145,000 in gross revenue. The raffle tops out at $104,000, and with funds raised from the Golf Outing, the net return will be $125,000.

The raffle drawing will take place at Roberts Trane offices in Redmond on Friday, the November 17. The winner will be announced at the 15th Anniversary Party, Saturday evening, at the Columbia Tower Club in Seattle.
