Carlene M. Buty’s application has been approved by the Board of Directors. Her classification is proposed to be
“Hospital-Fundraising,” and she is sponsored by Dale Hemphill, co-sponsored by Steve Goldfarb.
Carlene is the Director of Major Gifts at Overlake Hospital Medical Center.
She previously worked at Providence Seattle Medical Center in a similar position for nine years. She has been active in the community, volunteering at Providence Hospital and St. Monica’s Parish. Carlene lists Regina House, a food and clothing bank, as of special interest, and she is a member of the National Development Officer’s Association, the National Society of Fund Raising Professionals, and the Association of Hospital Professionals. In addition, Carlene has been a member of the PTA for 16 years.
Carlene indicates she likes painting, sewing, and cooking, and her sporting activities include bike riding, snow skiing, hiking, and
snorkeling. Club memberships include the Mercer Island Women’s Club, the Italian Club, and Festa Italiana. She is married to Frank Buty, they have three daughters, and they live on Mercer Island.
