President Cary sporting a shiner.

President Cary Kopczynski, returning from vacation sporting a beautiful black eye, called the meeting to order. Cary claimed the black eye resulted from running into a tree branch while on a
hike. However, there was an unsubstantiated rumor that the shiner may be the result of a disagreement with Bellevue Noon club members over which Rotary Club is the best in Bellevue.
Mike Hyodo provided the invocation with a theme of “God put us here to help others.” Zul Devji introduced visiting Rotarians and guests.
Our esteemed Reveille editor, John Mix, sent greetings and regrets form the mountains of central Idaho for being unable to attend this week's
meeting. It seems John had an unfortunate "IDAHO EXPERIENCE," losing the water pump on his trusty car. Rumor has it that a mule team
needed to pack a new water pump to a remote garage to complete the repair before John and Shirley could exit the state.
Dick Clarke announced the availability of $5,000 in matching funds toward Rotary Foundation Paul Harris donations. Members who contribute $100 will receive an equal amount toward their Paul Harris
Fellowship. Please provide your checks to Dick.
