 Raffle Update

Rick McManus rose to bring members a quick update on the coming Golf Outing, which will raise funds to pay expenses for the coming Raffle. “We have 97 golfers signed up … and have144 slots to fill. Either contact me directly or go to the website and register online.” Registration for the tourney is $135. Robin Callan said the Mt. Si golf course has a limited number of golf carts available for use on July 7. “If you want to reserve a cart, do so right away. Call Mt Si direct.” (Ph 425-888-1541)

A list of Tournament Auction items was released, showing at least 17 great items to be offered at a silent auction during the Golf Outing. Paul Martin, Mark Esteb, Steve Goldfarb, Dick Tschetter, and Bill Scott have all offered golf outing at other courses. Peter Powell has offered his float plane and golf for three at Port Ludlow. Several auction items include golf equipment, and there is also a gourmet dinner for four at the Edbergs, a weekend for four at the Moriarty cabin on Puget Sound, a Lake Washington boat cruise and picnic with the Moloneys, four seats at Safeco Field for the Mariners-White Sox game on August 26, and two seats at Husky Stadium on September 9, when the Huskies take on the Miami Hurricanes.

There is no finer sight than the 7:00 a.m. light fog wisping over the verdant green fairways of Mt. Si on a summer morning, with it’s namesake looming in the background. In addition to a great half-day of golf, the beautiful surroundings, and the competitive juices, participants will be treated to a barbecue lunch and the awarding of trophies. A truly memorable tradition hosted by the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club … the Fifth Annual Golf Outing. Remember, there will be no regular meeting the morning of July 7 at Glendale, in favor of the activity at Mt. Si.
