the friday program: Howard Johnson, with the BBRC Chorus behind him, introduced a BBRC rendition of Talkin Baseball, renamed Talkin Raffle [see lyrics at right]. The 2005 grand prize, a red Volkswagen Beetle convertible, was prominently displayed outside the Glendale Golf Club window. President Steve Lingenbrink presented Sayoko Kuwahara with her Rotarian-of-the-Month plaque for all her efforts involving fellowship events. The Rotating the Wheels dinner last month was the highest-attended gathering in BBRC history, and with innovative ideas like the recent Duvall/BBRC joint effort and the upcoming New Member Mixer this Saturday at Peter Powell's house, Sayoko is greatly deserving of this award. Congratulations, Sayoko! A group of nine BBRC members gathered this past Saturday morning to pick up trash along the BBRC's section of "adopted" highway on I-405 in Bellevue. Thanks to these Rotarians for taking part: Chip Erickson, John DeWater, Alex Rule, Jane Kuechle, Margie Burnett, Steve Roberts, Rick McManus, Jim Young, Chuck Barnes If you have questions about future clean-up projects for the BBRC's adopted area, please contact Chip Erickson.
