THIS WEEK

One of the morning’s great events: the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club’s annual Holiday Breakfast. A roomful of energy-packed kids waiting to see Santa and pick up a gift. An even larger roomful of parents watching all this commotion with beaming smiles. A buffet breakfast that’s out of this world. Holiday songs and entertainment. Don’t miss the annual Christmas Breakfast this Friday, December 17, at 7:00 a.m. at the Glendale Country Club. Remember, guests and members are to park in the upper parking lot. See you there!

ADMIN CORNER

At the end of the Christmas Breakfast, the BBRC’s calendar year operations will come to a close. There are no more meetings scheduled in December, because of the coming Christmas and New Year holidays. Meetings resume on January 7th with an off-site meeting at Sammamish High School. (Glendale is closed through January 13).

With the end of the quarter comes a new billing period, the 3rd, which begins January 1. For those who have not yet covered your obligations from the 2nd Quarter, the Treasurer would appreciate a remittance prior to January 1. Mail your check to BBRC, PO Box 3003, Bellevue WA 98009-3003. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

SAASergeant At Arms On the Road Again

Jenny Andrews, on a tear the past several weeks, fined Rick McManus $5.00 for his wedding photo appearing in a magazine called “Luxe, the Magazine of Luxury Living.” Johanna Eddy and Rick were married in September. Rick was fined an additional $2.00 for whining about the $5.00 fine.

The President of Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler, Steve Goldfarb, was fined $100 for his picture “appearing at least 12 times in his magazine, which several members received.”

Last week at the Costco off-site meeting, Bob McNulty said something about Jenny celebrating her “50th Birthday. “That hasn’t happened yet, Bob” said Jenny. For misinformation, McNulty was fined $50. When he tried to explain, he was told to “Pony up and sit down!”

Steve Lingenbrink was singled out for a nice article in the Kirkland Courier about his Agros project in Guatemala. Steve noted that Curtis Cummings and his 8-year-old daughter Ciara will join Steve and his daughter, 10-year-old Sarah, when the group heads for Guatemala in February.

Jenny contacted Judge Jenny and received a ruling that cell phones in meetings are getting out of hand. A fine of $50 for a ringing or in-use cell phone during BBRC meetings will be imposed. “This is a cell-free organization!” says the rampaging Sergeant At Arms!
